Leerer Dunst started out as a side project to a previous band called 9DB, the first song made was Emptiness from an old Yamaha keyboard, this would spiral into more songs being made, including an early version of Kill You. Eventually in December, “Emptiness” would be released with a full album planned the following year. In January multiple songs would be made for the album, including Siren, Hell Dust, Noted, Retrograd and a heavily reworked version of Kill You. This album would go through several iterations of tracklists, mixing and structure before being scrapped, during the year Noted, Heartbeat, and Stonebreak would be released.
The following year would be slower, with only a 2023 edit of Stonebreak being released, although more songs would be worked on, this would be the time that the earliest demos of Minduta would be worked on, this would lead into 2024 with a collection of ambient tracks being released on Final Rest, in this EP, there’d be a snippet of Minduta, this would lead to a ARG being started but it would be scrapped soon after, along with the Minduta EP being shelved. Later that year Kill You // Stay Dead would be released, with new versions of Noted and Heartbeat.
In 2025, Minduta would get a new mix/master and was released in May. During this period as well, Warning Sign would get worked on with a slightly reworked version of Siren. Warning Sign would eventually get released in October with album art by Mcfoolsdoarts. A new album is on its way soon.
